Michele Wallington
Michele is a contemporary artist painting in most media in an impressionist, expressive, and sometimes illustrative style, working from her garden studio in Oxfordshire.
“My aim is to help to bring a little more colour, warmth and creativity into the lives and homes of the people who buy my work. Perhaps evoking a memory of place, a glimpse, a feeling, a mood. My paintings are not about just a literal representation, but more about an emotional response aiming to portray the essence of a subject and leaving something to the viewer’s imagination. The coast of North Cornwall and the wilds of Dartmoor are two of my sources of regular inspiration as well as locally the River Thames, the ancient Ridgeway track and the interesting forms of seed heads in my garden to name just a few!”
Michele is mostly self-taught enjoying drawing and painting from an early age and also qualified with a BA(Hons) Fine Art degree from Bath Spa University. She also achieved an adult teaching qualification and has been teaching drawing and painting classes since to adults. Please see her website for further details.
